When pastry chef, Samantha Ward first opened Exquisite Desserts 14 years ago, her goal was to provide the local country clubs and clientele of the Coachella Valley with the best possible desserts. She continues to strive for this goal every day. Over the past several years, Exquisite Desserts has experienced enormous growth and she plans to maintain the momentum she has achieved so the business can remain a solid and lucrative home for everyone who has been a part of its success thus far.
Ward loves the freedom of owning her own business while utilizing the skill set she developed through formal training and creative experimentation. After graduating from California Culinary Academy in 1993, she began working as a pastry chef in San Francisco and later, studied in Europe and received extensive training with world-famous chefs. Ward has also had the privilege of working with members of the 2001 Coup de Monde championship team.
Exquisite Desserts services 20 of the top country clubs in Coachella Valley and is a member of the Greater Palm Springs Wedding Association. Ward and her team specialize in catering extensive menus, custom wholesale pastries, petite pastries, cookies, cupcakes, and specialty cakes, and have plans to open a retail space in the coming months.
